So it’s time to finally get my stint on the weekly series of articles known as SCG Daily. Yes that’s right, for one week I get to hijack the entire StarCityGames.com website and turn it into a shrine to my favorite subject… namely, me. And you can’t escape! Bwahahahahaha!
Welcome to Tribal Bible #11, my “Golden Issue”, so to speak, given that my birthday also falls on the 11th (of August, for what it’s worth), and I wanted to do something special, something that would be noticed, and something people would talk about. As such, while there may be only one deck this week, I promise it’s a doozy – it’s legal in every format except Vanguard, Block Constructed (any), and Singleton. What could it possibly be? As we all know, Dragonstorm took the top spot at Worlds this year. Of course, the top deck – or even a list of the Top 8 decks – doesn’t tell the whole story. The Extended coverage of Worlds provides an excellent pile of information: what was played the most, what “dark horse” decks made themselves known over the course of the six rounds of the format, and even plenty of decklists besides. Of course, I like to go data-mining and play with numbers, so I was disappointed… after all, there wasn’t a complete tally of decklists for all 350 people still playing…

Going into Worlds, it’s safe to say that Raph was looking forward to the tournament. Of course, the Hall of Fame beckoned… Mr Levy would be joining the game’s uber-elite. Craig “The Professor” Jones’s preparation for Worlds was not as exhaustive as one might expect.
