Friday, March 28th – With the ability to finally turn my eye away from Extended, it seems there is a rather interesting Standard metagame out there if you look for it. Unfortunately, I’d looked at the Standard metagame and neatly categorized it just like everyone else has, and came up with two different potential solutions to the current metagame: Merfolk, and Blue-based Control.

Thursday, March 27th – Wizards has tweaked the upcoming Extended rotation, letting up play with our Onslaught fetchlands for another year. Good news for those who shelled out big bucks for those Flooded Strands. Nevertheless, a whopping seven sets are leaving Extended, a veritable K-T Extinction Event in the Magic kingdom.

Wednesday, March 26th – As part of the last banned and restricted list update, Wizards announced a change to the Extended rotation. Previously, Extended was to lose three years worth of sets every three years. Under that policy, come November, everything before Mirrodin block was set to leave the format. That would have been a huge change…
