The nearly 200 players who showed up for the StarCityGames.com Legacy Open in Nashville all had one question on their mind: how would Scars of Mirrodin impact the Legacy format? The new set’s influence was felt from the first round as Affinity cluttered the tables. With powerful new additions to the archetype in the form of Memnite, Mox Opal, and Galvanic Blast players were looking to see if it could return to is previous prominence in Magic. Before long, the answer was in: not this weekend in Nashville. Midway through the day, there were barely any robot players to be found at the top tables!
