Magic fans were ready to play with their favorite creature types from Lorwyn Eclipsed this past weekend for the set’s prerelease events, but a bunch of Turtles stole the show as almost 60 rare and mythic rares from Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were opened in the prerelease promo packs in place of cards from Lorwyn Eclipsed.
By Friday afternoon, social media was flooded with pictures of the iconic Turtles and their villains showing up in Lorwyn Eclipsed prerelease packs. By Monday morning, most of the rares and mythic rares from Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had been spoiled on the Magic Subreddit.
Wizards of the Coast (WotC) acknowledged the mix-ups on social media and recommended stores replace the promos with other promos from Lorwyn Eclipsed if possible.

With these 58 leaks and the eight officially previewed rares and mythic rares from WotC, almost every high rarity card from the set is now known.
Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled to release on March 6.
