When situations change dramatically, it is sometimes hard to focus on anything else. However, more often than not, change comes in much smaller increments. But with enough smaller changes, the result is something than can be recognized as being different from what came before it.

Thursday, April 29th – The folks over at MTGSalvation are talking about a rumored Wizards plan to introduce a new format to deal with reserve list issues. It would be an Eternal format that the company could support by reprinting cards when necessary. The format would include cards from Mercadian Masques forward, and sets would never rotate out. Let’s assume that such a format is created – what would that do to Legacy, and what Metagame might we expect?

Friday, April 23rd-I started my Saturday at the Richmond Convention Center ready to earn some Rise of the Eldrazi packs by helping administer the prerelease. I ended the day at a hotel bar playing EDH with Magic Historian Brian David-Marshall and WotC R&D and Magic Hall of Famer Mike Turian. Yeah, it was a pretty awesome day!
