Friday, July 25th – With just one last Pro Tour Qualifier to go before Eventide rotated into the Block Constructed format, my mission (should I choose to accept it) was to drive myself and four compatriots to Boston for the weekend and play a deck with Bitterblossom for eight hours…
Friday, July 25th – This week, let’s try talking about something a little different, away from the usual Faeries du jour, or even the Block Constructed format at all. I’m going to take a break and talk about something I’ve been enjoying lately: Shadowmoor-Shadowmoor-Eventide Draft, and forcing colors.
Thursday, July 24th – Richard is still dedicated to playing an interactive, tricky and (most likely) Blue deck in the post-Eventide Block Constructed environment. Today, he trawls through some of the more controlling sweetmeats on offer from the latest set, and shares a couple of possible Block decklists…
Thursday, July 24th – Lorwyn / Shadowmoor Block Constructed PTQs continue apace, and the Faerie menace rumbles on. While the smart money is on the Fae, there are those players who refuse to run with the strongest deck in any particular format… and Kyle, with Kithkin, is one of them today. Kithkin took down the whole PTQ, and Kyle relives his tournament in typical Sanchez fashion. Of course, the day isn’t all plain sailing, and there’s the obligatory twist at the end…
Thursday, July 24th – I ran a PTQ last weekend. The Top 8 happened – Faeries and Faeries and Merfolk and Faeries and some Elementals and – who cares? That format is dead already. It was pre-Eventide, so everything will change. I’ll talk a bit about it, then I’ll look at some Eventide cards. That’s more interesting.

He also showcases what he believes to be the cream of the current format, and provides concise and exacting sideboarding plans for the major players in the field.
Wednesday, July 23rd – While I rarely do “set reviews†in the strictest sense, taking each card line-by-line and spouting such wisdom as “It’s cool that Mogg Fanatic and Incinerate were reprinted; those cards might find a home in aggressive Red decks,†every once in awhile a set is released that contains a higher than average density of cards with atypical applications. It seems to me like Eventide has many of this type of card.
