Read Abe Sargent every week... at StarCityGames.com!
Thursday, November 6th – Today I want to talk about some clever, older, largely unknown cards that you can unveil on your playgroup to a great surprise. No one will claim these cards are amazingly powerful, or brokenly good… they are just unexpected or subtly strong.

Read Peter Jahn... at StarCityGames.com!
Thursday, November 6th – Out in my workshop, I have a wall of bookshelves. About half the bookshelves are full of old role-playing games, and most of those are defunct. I also have cards from a lot of dead TCGs – and I have Magic cards. Magic is anything but dead. That got me wondering – is Magic’s longevity something special?

You Lika The Juice? – Locked in with Meadowlark!

States is coming!
Thursday, November 6th – When last we talked, I spent a good portion of my column ranting about the stale state of Standard. Some readers found the pessimism off-putting, but I hope you’ll forgive me. I am usually a flaming optimist, but even my sunny disposition can get worn down sometimes. Tuesday, November 4th – As the Monty Python boys taught us, three is the number of minutes thou shalt have to shuffle before each game, no more, possibly less. At the three minute mark you must present your deck. If you delay in presenting your deck after three minutes, you should receive a Slow Play infraction. I say “should” because this is one of those penalties that will almost never be given out.

So let me reveal to you the second most fundamental skill anyone can learn in multiplayer….
