Friday, January 9th – There’s a question I get asked quite often: Does an artist’s autograph raise or lower the value of a card? The answer is more complicated than you might think! To find out my answer, read this week’s edition of Insider Trading!

As a replacement, we have Luis Scott-Vargas, who shares each pick from a Magic Online 8-4 queue. He talks us through the difficult decisions in the forums… do you agree with his choices?

Friday, January 9th – Hello everybody, and welcome to the return of the Magic Show! This week we’re going through all of the footage shot in Memphis last month for the World Championships. Are you ready to talk about split format Pro Tours, Planeswalkers, Grand Prixs, and the best Gather Specimens of all time? Let’s go!

Friday, January 9th – With two articles in a row dedicated to a pet-deck strategy of delving into The Rock in Extended, I feel as if I’ve wasted enough of my readership’s time on a strategy that will in all likelihood prove to be second-rate. While I’m content to still play with the deck and test it in the meantime, hearing about it is not going to get anyone else the kind of insight that playing with it is getting me… so to discuss Extended, I’d rather move on to different pastures.

Friday, January 9th – This week I’m pleased to present a very special interview with Wizards of the Coast’s Magic Director, Aaron Forsythe. When I heard he was gunslinging some Elder Dragon Highlander decks at Worlds, I had hopes he’d be willing to share some of his thoughts on the format with my readers here – and sure enough, he brought the noise!

Thursday, January 8th – Aaron Nicastri, 2008 Rookie of the Year, returns to set out a comprehensive testing process for the approaching Extended PTQ season. Thursday, January 8th – Red/White Reveillark, christened “Boat Brew,†has been a strong yet underappreciated Standard option for a few months now. Thursday, January 8th – Hello everyone, and Happy 2009! It’s a pleasure to be back in the driver’s seat, writing for you all as we head on toward the third American Legacy Grand Prix, and hopefully I’ll provide you all a little insight into the format before that event to help you choose your deck wisely.

Thursday, January 8th – I was staying with my in-laws in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula over the New Year’s weekend. That’s snow country, and it snowed. Officially, we got 20†between Friday evening and Sunday noon. Other than some cross country skiing, curling up in front of the fire and eating, I played Magic online. My goal was to play as much Magic, in as many different formats, as possible.

Wednesday, January 7th – Yesterday, Luis Scott-Vargas walked us through a recent Extended testing session with Gerry Thompson, in which Gerry ran Zoo and LSV played Faeries. Today, we have Gerry’s take on the proceedings. With both of these decks looking to make a considerable splash in the coming PTQ season, get the inside scoop on the matchup from two of the game’s top Constructed minds!

Wednesday, January 7th – Packing considerable hate for the main strategies in a given metagame has been a noble tradition in Extended formats past. Mike Flores brought us Green/White Haterator, Zac Hill created Green/Red Terraforce… and now Richard Feldman brings us an exciting amalgam of the two! Could this be the next big thing in Extended? Read on to find out!
