Monday, July 5th – I don’t normally care for strategy articles. Magic has been around for quite a long while, and there are about a billion articles on the subject of bringing your game to the next level, tournament preparation, etc. Every time I read an article that advises me to get plenty of sleep before a big tournament, I punch my computer right in the face.

Monday, July 5th – My last PTQ was March 14, 2009, and was an Extended PTQ in Philadelphia. Last Saturday, I went to Philly to play in the PTQ. Actually, I more or less went to hang out, grab lunch at the Reading Terminal Market, and test Legacy; the playing of the PTQ part was kind of an afterthought.

Monday, July 5th – For Ad Nauseam and Reanimator€™s last hurrah, the St. Louis StarCityGames.com Legacy Open wasn€™t much of a showcase of power. Even though Reanimator was the most popular deck in the field, neither archetype managed a Top 16 showing.
