Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH) is currently being tested on MTGO. I have been converting my favorite EDH decks from paper to online. That requires some changes – MTGO does not yet have most of the cards from Tempest, Urza’s Saga, or Masques blocks, or from sets before Mirage. That requires some adjustments. I’ll talk about converting my Starke of Rath deck – per request – I’ll include the original list.
Today’s Flores Friday sees Mike dissect the pertinent problems in the modern Extended environment, and offer some proactive thinking in order to combat them. It’s safe to say that, at the beginning of this fresh and exciting metagame, the more successful players will be those that’ve identified a hole in the format and attempted to drive a Buick through it. Let Mike show you how!

I’ve been goofing around a lot lately, building and designing decks for the Extended format, largely because I have no other way to occupy my mind. In brainstorming last week we came up with a varied set of decks to look at, with a peculiar Counterbalance-Tron deck and an approach at “Dragon Stompy” for the Extended metagame. Let’s see where we go today…
In a move destined to resonate with moviegoers, Rich Hagon brings us a sequel to his award-winning Worlds Pro Report Card Part 1, trickily entitled Worlds Pro Report Card Part 2. Yes, it’s the same article again but with a different cast, a different cola product placement, a different bad guy, and a different ending. But what the hey, it’ll still do great box office, and that’s the important thing.
Yup, you read the title right – it’s a Two-Headed article on Extended. However, this is not a foray into Two-Headed Giant Constructed… it’s an article on Extended delivered in a unique fashion by the legendary Two-Headed Giant of Foriys. Of course, this doesn’t mean that it’s here for humor alone. There’s a rundown of the Domain Zoo archetype too!
It seems that the world has gone Extended crazy, and Kyle Sanchez is no exception. Today’s Down And Dirty brings Kyle’s take on the metagame after three weeks of intensive testing with a variety of partners. For aggro fans there’s a fresh look at Gruul, and for more long-term strategists there’s a Tooth, Nail, and Mindslaver deck. Wrapping up, we have Kyle’s latest version of King in the Castle. Fun for everyone!
