Thursday, July 17th – Life’s been a little busy lately, and I was not going to write an article this week. The prerelease was – from my perspective – sort of blah. Then I read both Chatter’s article this week, and the responses. Some people are blathering, and I need to comment. I’ll also sprinkle in a few of the dumb plays I saw last weekend.
Thursday, July 17th – Today’s article is the third installment of The Magic Role-Playing Game. The last article was published back in January, so I felt it was time for another supplement. The Magic RPG is my most popular work. I suspect that it will endure for a long time, and it’s my favorite contribution to the game. I have had people tell me that playing The Magic RPG has changed their Magic gaming experience forever, and I am humbled by this.

Wednesday, July 16th – The Eventide spoiler is out, and ‘tis the season for set reviews. While you’ll be getting the Spike-side view from the Premium gang, and the casual review from some of the free side regulars, I figure I’d go ahead and give my takes on it too.
Wednesday, July 16th – A key element of the “acquisition process†that, it appears, has been one of WoTC’s many buzzwords for 2008, is making the process of playing in a tournament as fun as possible for the people that choose to do so. A well-run event provides an air of professionalism to Magic that suggests the people behind the game really do know what they are doing.

Monday, July 14th – A full 189 players showed up to do battle for a slot to Berlin on the Fifth of July. After just a few rounds we discovered that Mirrorweave is hands down the most rules intensive card in this Block format. Let’s just hand it the Humility Award now.
