Wednesday, July 21st – With Grand Prix: Columbus on the horizon, I imagine that a lot of people turning to pick up a Legacy deck will gravitate towards Zoo decks and Counterbalance decks somewhat reminiscent of Extended decks of old. I want to look deeper into the matchup between Zoo and various incarnations of Counterbalance decks.

Wednesday, July 21st – New sets always mean new decks, and new ways to play old decks. Until just last year, though, Core Sets never really affected the game in such a way. I mean, sure, when Dragonstorm lost Seething Song back in Ravnica block the format was radically altered, but now that Core Sets rotate in the fall that wouldn’t make a huge difference these days.
Tuesday, July 20th – It’s been quite a while since I’ve listed the decks I play, so I thought it might be time (and a few voices in the forums have asked). They’ve morphed a little over the last six months or so, both due to new cards coming out and me liking to play with different things occasionally. While Rise of the Eldrazi hasn’t warped the format as Ken Nagle thought it might, it has certainly provided some material (and I’m sure an Emrakul discussion will ensue).

Ever since the full spoiler was released, I’ve been busy having a tea party and getting to know good new friends I suspect will end up in a lot of my decks. Conundrum Sphinx, Destructive Force, and Mass Polymorph are all cards I have already built strategies around, each more promising than the last.
