Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Tuesday, July 20th – This week, Doug looks at several of the most powerful strategies that you will encounter at the Grand Prix and GenCon, with an eye on how to bust through them. Get tips this week on making sure Life from the Loam stays down, preventing Thopter token armies, and not dying ingloriously to Merfolk when you thought you had the game locked up. Get the tip on what two-mana artifact everyone should be playing, and find some silly options along the way in this week’s Legacy’s Allure!

Embracing The Chaos – The Decks I Love

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Tuesday, July 20th – It’s been quite a while since I’ve listed the decks I play, so I thought it might be time (and a few voices in the forums have asked). They’ve morphed a little over the last six months or so, both due to new cards coming out and me liking to play with different things occasionally. While Rise of the Eldrazi hasn’t warped the format as Ken Nagle thought it might, it has certainly provided some material (and I’m sure an Emrakul discussion will ensue).

Flow of Ideas – Evolving Jund for an M11 World

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Monday, July 19th – M11 is a marvelously designed set and has a lot of new, exciting cards to play. Ever since the full spoiler was released, I’ve been busy having a tea party and getting to know good new friends I suspect will end up in a lot of my decks. Conundrum Sphinx, Destructive Force, and Mass Polymorph are all cards I have already built strategies around, each more promising than the last.

The Long & Winding Road – Rantings on Chapin and the Hive Mind

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Monday, July 19th – I’ve had one crazy week, and I need to let off some steam. I doubt any of you want to hear about my trials and tribulations as a mid-level manager at a national facilities maintenance company, so instead, let’s talk Magical cards. More specifically, let’s talk about Patrick Chapin.

Removed From Game – Thinking, In The Box

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Monday, July 19th – It’s time to start counting the dollars, pounds, or yen, stuffed under the mattress at home. Can you afford a box of M11 now it’s hit the shelves? It might seem like a big investment, but Rich explains how to get every drop of value out of thirty six boosters, and why buying a box is one of the best entertainment deals ever.

You Lika The Juice? – The State of Green, M11 Edition

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Friday, July 16th – It’s that time again, where we take a critical eye at the new Magic set and see how it impacts the color Green. I have to admit, Wizards has really done some great things for Green in the past few years, but we can’t forget that Green spent a long time as the undisputed worst color in Magic and there’s still need to have strong advocates for the color.

Tribal Thriftiness #119 – M11 Top Commons

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Friday, July 16th – Continuing his review from last week, Dave picks out the top commons from M11.

The Magic Show #197 – Chapin on M11

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Friday, July 16th – Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of the Magic Show. This week we sit down with Patrick Chapin and get his thoughts on M11, Magic Online, his favorite cards, and how the Hivemind and lack of deckbuilders impact this game we adore. Let’s go!

The Chump Block – Red/Black Sac

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Friday, July 16th – I reckon I am in the vast minority here, but I actually like Frost Titan. One of the things that I think turns people away from the card (and from a lot of cards) is that it wasn’t printed how they had imagined / wanted. “It would be so much better if it had shroud,” I’ve heard people lament. Yes. It would.

The Justice League – Bound By Honor

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Thursday, July 15th – As judges, we’re under careful scrutiny from the Magic public. I certainly don’t mind being held to a high standard, but it does present a very interesting circumstance in which, even when I’m not on the floor, judging can often dictate my behavior…

Ideas Unbound – Core Set Theory

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Thursday, July 15th – With M11 hitting the street, and with Release Events this weekend and M11 Sealed Grand Prixs tournaments on the horizon, I thought that it’d be useful to write a piece on Core Set Sealed theory as it pertains to M11 before sharing a Sealed pool.

Yawgmoth’s Whimsy #333 – More UST Round 1 Play

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Thursday, July 15th – We have the brackets. Play has begun, both online and off. This week, it’s Faeries versus Replenish, Mythic Conscription battles Deadguy Red, Corrupter Black takes on Academy, and Rec/Sur goes up against Necropotence. Time for some coverage!

The Kitchen Table #346 – M11 and Five

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Wednesday, July 14th – Hello folks, and welcome to the column dedicated to all things casual. Today’s offering is an article that we do every few months here on the Kitchen Table. Today is my casual review of the new cards in M11, concentrating on those that I think will have an impact on casual land.

Thirst for Knowledge – Primeval Titan in Standard

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Wednesday, July 14th – Although it’s true that Fauna Shaman has been getting the most coverage of all the M11 cards, I think that it would be a much better idea for us to take a look at the best card in M11, Primeval Titan.

MTGCast #215 – Akroma, Angel of Passive Aggression

Grand Prix GP Columbus July 30-August 1, 2010
Wednesday, July 14th – On this week’s edition of MTGCast, the guys discuss the M11 Prerelease, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, dirty card art, and much more!
