Friday, April 30th – Something about Rise of the Eldrazi has really got ideas churning in my brain for Standard decks. Maybe it’s because Standard has felt so stagnant for so long, or maybe Brian Tinsman and company just really juiced this set with tons of intriguing cards and synergies. Whatever the reason, I’ve got tons of decklists I’m throwing against the wall to see what sticks, and a lot of them involve casting gigantic nightmare world-eaters.

Thursday, April 29th – Last week, Craig Wescoe walked us through the hits and misses in the White, Blue, and Colorless cards in Rise of the Eldrazi. Today, he continues his mission to hunt out the gems in the new set, discussing the Red Green, and Black cards. He also gives his top 10 cards in the entire set!

Wednesday, April 28th – I asked Patrick the question, “Would it be greedy to play only one copy of your win condition?” His respose, “I don’t think it would be greedy, I think it would be foolish.” We went on to discuss that See Beyond, the card which enables you to eject your win condition from your hand back into your deck, makes it less bad to draw a copy of your win condition.

Tuesday, April 27th – Yes, I know what you’re thinking: “not another article about Jund!†Unfortunately, Jund has warped Standard so much that with every new set release literally the only thing most of us care about is whether or not Jund will be knocked off its throne. That being said, has Rise of the Eldrazi finally done it? I’m not sure yet, but I will say that Jund itself will need to work much harder for its wins now more than ever.
