Welcome back to the Grand Prix Washington DC countdown blog! Yesterday, I introduced you to the wonderful cosplayers who will be joining Grand Prix Washington DC this weekend. So if you’re looking to get a photo with Akroma, Angel of Wrath; Nissa, Voice of Zendikar; or the various takes on Chandra, the nation’s capital is the place to be on March 11-13.
Now that you know all of the reasons to attend Grand Prix Washington DC, the only thing left to do is figure out how to get there and where to lay your head at night. So let’s talk travel and lodging today, shall we?
Airports
If you’re flying to Grand Prix Washington DC, you’ve got two airports to choose from – Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD). Note that DCA is closer to the Grand Prix Washington DC venue than IAD is (15 minutes vs 45 minutes), so if being in close proximity to an airport is important to you, DCA is the way to go. As someone who has flown through both airports, I find them both fairly simple to navigate, so complexity shouldn’t be a concern.
