Previously, Extended was to lose three years worth of sets every three years. Under that policy, come November, everything before Mirrodin block was set to leave the format. Wednesday, March 26th – I’m generally garbage at teaching anything, and Magic’s among the most complicated things you can teach. I’d tried my hand at instruction before, to less than successful results. The rules of Magic have been etched so deeply into my cognition that it’s hard sometimes to isolate why some things work the way that they do.

Tuesday, March 25th – Right now, Standard on Magic Online, at least as far as 8-mans go, looks to be 90% composed of four specific decks: Faeries, Elves, Red Deck Wins, and U/W Reveillark take up a huge portion of every single one I enter. Perhaps this will change as the high cost of Morningtide cards has dropped down to the normal Magic Online flow, i.e. anything that isn’t utterly ridiculous costs between 1-3 tickets.

Tuesday, March 25th – In the last few weeks, a wealth of information has exploded onto the Magic scene. Unfortunately, not much of this is Legacy info. Fortunately, it’s Extended info, and never before have two formats resembled each other as much as Legacy and Extended do this season. I firmly believe that the parallels between the two formats can be used to uncover technology that may have been overlooked by the people focusing on one format, but not the other.
