SCG CON Heats Up The Summer!

SCG CON has quickly established itself as one of the “can’t miss” Magic: The Gathering events of the year, and while we’re not ready to begin announcing some of the awesome guests, features, attractions and events planned for June’s event, I can tell you that we’re expecting it to be our biggest and best SCG CON yet, and you’re definitely not going to want to miss it. Make plans to join us June 11-14, and stay tuned for more details!

Did He Just Say…Team Pioneer (Non-Unified)?

Sure did!

Team events are always a blast, and Pioneer is currently one of the hottest formats in the game, so combining the two seems like it’d make for an incredibly fun event.

However, as with the Team Modern events we occasionally offer, our Team Pioneer format will also eschew the “unified deck construction rule.” This means that, for Louisville’s Team Pioneer main event, each member of your three-person team will be able to play whichever Pioneer-legal deck they wish to play!

The Road to 2020 Star City Games Players Championship Continues!

Once again, this year’s SCG Tour will culminate with a year-end Star City Games Players’ Championship! On December 11-13, sixteen competitors will travel to Star City Games’ Roanoke, Virginia hometown to battle for the coveted title, 2020 Star City Games Players’ Championship belt, 3x byes for all 2021 Star City Games Opens, a share of $50,000 in prizes, and MORE in one of Magic: The Gathering’s most exclusive events!

One of those sixteen slots has already been awarded to our reigning, defending, 2019 Star City Games Players’ Champion. And in case you don’t know who that is, we asked the voice of the UFC Octagon, Bruce Buffer, to help us announce it a little louder!

Here is how YOU can earn one of the fifteen remaining seats at 2020’s Star City Games® Players’ Championship!

SCG Tour Champ Champ?!?!

There is only one thing better than winning an SCG Tour’s Championship belt, and that’s winning TWO of them! In addition to receiving free entry into one Open/one Classic per SCG Tour weekend for the entirety of 2021, and 3 byes in all 2021 Opens, our 2020 SCG Tour Player of the Year will now also receive their own unique Championship belt!

Thank You!

As always, we welcome all constructive feedback, and will respond as much as possible on Twitter.

Thank you for your continued support of both Star City Games and the SCG Tour, and we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend in Richmond!
