Tuesday, October 13th – I have this sinking feeling that Hypergenesis is going to be “the deck” at the Pro Tour, since it is a combo that takes little effort to assemble, and all of the hate cards can be easily foiled. Luckily for Hypergenesis, most of the Blue-Goyf decks are a tad too slow to compete with some of the other combo decks, which may leave them with a ridiculously unprepared metagame come the PT.

Friday, October 9th – Those who know me know I’m a pretty nice guy. Need someone to help move furniture, got a favor to ask, I’m your man. And yet, my favorite Magic decks to play are resource denial decks; land destruction, hand denial and mill decks. Deep down, I suspect I’m a closet sadist. It would explain so very many things.
Friday, October 9th – I’m not sure whether it’s just part of the euphoria I’m feeling from finally getting to play with Zendikar (and all the various implications to Standard & Extended), but this set also brings some monumental shifts in my approach to Elder Dragon Highlander, in addition to the usual bumper crop of fun new cards I’m dying to try.
Friday, October 9th – Now that the Zendikar hype has died down a little, and it’s going to be some weeks before I actually get to see the cards online, I thought I’d go back to my workshop and dig out another casual concoction. This is another linear based off an Alara keyword mechanic.
Friday, October 9th – I decided to play Kresh for week one of the league. I’ll probably rotate each week to keep things fresh and hopefully avoid getting metagamed (although it’s difficult for me to avoid using creature recursion from the graveyard – it’s just one of my favorite things to do).
