Daybreak Games have released their weekly update article for Magic Online, detailing upcoming events, game changes, and more.
Wilds Of Eldraine Arrives On Tuesday With All-Access
Magic Online will undergo a series of updates in preparation for Tuesday’s release of Wilds of Eldraine on the platform. Some of the client improvements include:
- Improved event filtering on the Home Scene and in the Constructed Play Lobby
- Right-clicking a Commander to see how many times it’s been cast this game
- Shifts in timer location and in how Atraxa, Grand Unifier works
- Choosing favorite lands for Limited and Constructed
There will also be special new initiatives coinciding with the release of Wilds of Eldraine. Events will be updated, anime borderless art bundles will be available, the new-player experience will be improved, treasure chests will be updated, and most importantly, the new Deck Brewer’s Pass will be introduced as a new form of All-Access tokens.
Starting with Wilds of Eldraine, Magic Online will offer players the option to purchase a Deck Brewer’s Pass All-Access token for $20, which will grant players access to almost every card on the client, including all of the cards from Wilds of Eldraine, for a week. The token will go on sale Tuesday morning and grant access to build decks of any format until 10 AM PT on September 13. Like the previous All-Access tokens, certain versions of cards won’t be available (Secret Lair variants, old-border Power 9, Battlebond cards, and some other exceptions).
The Wilds of Eldraine Enchanted Tales anime variants will be available in five bundles for $19.99 each in the Magic Online store next week.

Patch Notes
Multiplayer & Commander
- Choosing players to proliferate will become easier to see
- Trove of Temptation will work as expected
- Right-clicking a Commander will show how many times it’s previously been cast from the Command Zone
- Harmonic Sliver will correctly work when returned to the battlefield via encore
Duel Scene
- Modal spells on the stack will correctly not appear as Effects/Triggered abilities
- Rukarumel, Biologist will cause far less lag after Slivers deal combat damage
- Nahiri, the Lithomancer will no longer reset the game when a token doubler is involved
- Sauron’s Ransom will no longer shown white borders of cards in face-down piles
Play Lobby
- Constructed events will be filterable by type
- Gauntlet events will appear in both the Limited and Constructed Play Lobbies
Collection Scene & Limited Deckbuilding
- Favorite lands will be selectable for Limited or Constructed
- Full-art Wastes will no longer show text
Home Scene
- Commander Gauntlet game mode will be added
- Scheduled Events will be displayable in either chronological order or by importance
- Atraxa, Grand Unifier’s user experience will be improved
Next Downtime
The next scheduled downtime is tomorrow from 9 AM to noon PT to support the release of Wilds of Eldraine.
