Monday’s Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate previews debuted several new mythic rares, one of which is an enchantment that could be one of the most powerful additions to blue mages’ arsenals.
Plenty of Commander decks capitalize on the power of blue instants and sorceries, and you’ll already be looking to cast your Commander throughout the game, so why wouldn’t you want a cheap enchantment that provides a strong discount?
Commanders like Talrand, Sky Summoner or Baral, Chief of Compliance seem like two great places to start, especially if you’re on a budget. The decks are already going to be packed full of instants and sorceries for these commanders to take advantage of, and with Font of Magic on board, a one, two, or even three or more mana discount on those spells could lead to some wild turns.
So what do you think of Font of Magic? Will it find a home in your next Commander deck? Let us know what you think!
