Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will feature a strong lineup of card variants, including the sure to be sought-after foil-etched legend cards, as well as Rulebook cards and more.
You can view all of the set’s variants below.
Foil-Etched versions of the set’s Commanders can be found in both Set and Collector Booster packs and every legendary creature and Background will have a “foil-etched alternate version.”
Previous sets have each had their own unique foil-etched treatment, however the foil-etched cards in Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will use “their own matte frame with a special varnish, giving them a brilliant sheen.”
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will have three borderless planeswalkers, five borderless Elder Dragons, and five other borderless mythic rares.
Returning from Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will contain 76 total Rulebook cards — 10 commons, 34 uncommons, 25 rares, and 7 mythic rares.
The set will contain 47 rares and 7 mythic rares that appear with extended art. The 27 rares and 12 mythic rares that appear in the set’s Commander decks will also have extended art variants.
The List for Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate will return to the normal 300 cards after briefly shrinking for Streets of New Capenna. The List will also still contain the Magic versions of the Secret Lair x Stranger Things cards, minus Havengul Laboratory. These cards will appear at the same rarity as the other cards on The List.
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate is scheduled to release on June 10. View our official preview gallery.
