Today, I learned a few things:

1. The MTGO metagame is real. Lion’s Eye Diamond’s price drop from infinite to $15 with the release of Vintage Masters has likely created more Storm
players.

2. True-Name Nemesis is a gigantic beating–far more so than I thought. Being able to line up even one removal spell before casting Nemesis is enough to
jam up any sort of ground-reliant offense. At that point, attacking with tiny ground-pounders isn’t where you want to be.

3. This deck topdecks poorly. The upside of Sylvan Library is real, and I suggest two or more to anyone playing a creature-heavy deck in Legacy.

4. I thoroughly understand peoples’ beef with Brainstorm. Flooding out–or even just drawing miserable cards in a matchup and having them be a mulligan for
the entire game–is awful, and it’s something that Brainstorm mitigates better than anything else.

I’m still very interested in beating people down but not with this. If you have any recommendations, I’m all ears. Sorry, Wild Nacatl–I tried.
