Ultimate Guard announced today its new licensing agreement with Wizards of the Coast (WotC) to create official Magic: The Gathering gaming accessories.

The trading card game accessory company that produces deck boxes, sleeves, binders, and more will launch its first line of officially licensed Magic gear with the release of Bloomburrow in August. Ultimate Guard is known for its Katana card sleeves, Sidewinders, Boulder, and Flip’n’Tray deck boxes, and its sustainable products, some of which use 97 percent renewable raw materials.

Ultimate Guard will incorporate art assets from the MTG brand starting with a line of Sidewinder 100+ Xenoskin deck boxes featuring the borderless field notes treatment illustrations of multiple calamity beasts from the fall release. An example of the borderless field notes treatment can be seen on one of the first previewed cards from Bloomburrow — Lumra, Bellow of the Woods.

In addition, there will be a line of Zipfolio 360 Xenoskin binders, an Omnihive 1000+ Xenoskin card container, a sustainable RTE Boulder 100+ deck box, and a playmat.

Bloomburrow is a world of anthropomorphic animals with no humans. The set will be a kindred-focused set, revolving around a number of animal-folk creature types like rabbits, frogs, otters, and more. Some of the products will feature designs that revolve around the set’s still unknown storyline.
