Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of the Magic Show. This week we come live from Rome, with the show proper (clicking it at almost 19 minutes) and a whopping five updates, one for each day of Worlds! You won’t see this coverage anywhere else, as I talk to the biggest names in Professional Magic, Wizards of the Coast Research and Development, and more! I’ll also bring you the exclusive scoop on Charles Gindy Disqualification and his explanation of the events in question. Let’s go!
But that’s not all this week, folks. Each day I was at Worlds I produced a short video of my experiences. You saw the first last week, but here they all are compiled:
Day 1
In this video from Day 1, Wednesday, I show you some of the sights of Rome, including the Colosseum and the Sistine Chapel (where no filming is allowed! Subterfuge ftw!), as well as some funny ‘tales from the floor’ from various players including Brad “FFFreak” Nelson and Antonino De Rosa. Enjoy!
Day 2
In Day 2 we see the Hall of Fame induction ceremony along with a short bit with Wizards R&D member Tom LaPille and Frank Karsten with his ‘induction bust,’ as it were.
Day 3
For Day 3 we hear a few words from Paul Rietzl, R&D Members Aaron Forsythe and Mike Turian, along the FFFreak brothers and more!
Day 4
For Saturday, the final day of Swiss play, I checked in with Paul Rietzl on his affinity for Affinity, Brandon Scheel on his 6-0 draft strategy, Michael Jacob on his tournament finish and more!
Day 5
In the final daily video, we speak to Patrick Chapin, talk to Gerry Thompson about taking a break, the power of percentages with Brad “FFFreak” Nelson, and discuss winning Worlds with 2009 Champion Andre Coimbra!
Until next time Magic players, this is Evan Erwin, slogging through countless hours of footage so you don’t have to.
