Red Gets Modal DFC God In Birgi, God of Tales In Kaldheim

The final God from Kaldheim has been revealed! What tales will Birgi tell of?

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Metal Orgie, take a look at the final modal double-faced God from Kaldheim — Birgi, God of Tales // Harnfel, Horn of Plenty!

Whenever you cast a spell, add R. Until end of turn, you don’t lose this mana as steps or phases end.

Casting spells and gaining a red mana back for each one cast — what could go wrong (right?) A three mana 3/3, Birgi, God of Tales is a card just waiting to be broken, especially in formats with more zero-cost spells. The combo potential seems off the charts and this is only the first half!

Creatures you control can boast twice during each of your turns rather than only once.

If you’re opting away from combo possibilities, Birgi still fits well into a more aggressive/midrange shell, enabling your boast creatures to gain double the value.

Discard a card: Exile the top two cards of your library. You may play those cards this turn.

On the flip side, Harnfel, Horn of Plenty is a five-mana artifact that is a great source of card generation in the late-game. It allows you to discard your useless cards and look at two additional cards in return, which can be especially useful in top-decking situations.

So what do you think of Birgi, God of Tales // Harnfel, Horn of Plenty? Will it have more impact in combo or midrange decks? Let us know in the comments below!
