Mori navigated nine rounds of Swiss and sliced through the elimination rounds to earn the invite to the Kaldheim Championship and $1,500 without losing a match along the way. Going 9-0 in the Swiss gave Mori a bye through the wildcard round, leading to a quarterfinal match against Gavin Bennett on Mardu Doom Foretold (Yorion), where Mori won 2-1. From there, Mori took down Mattia Rizzi on Mono-Green Food 2-0 and ended the event with a 2-1 win over Thierry Ramboa on Dimir Control (Yorion).

Mori was one of two players to make the elimination rounds with Temur Adventures (Obosh), the most-played deck in the 289-person event. Temur Adventures was a dominant force in Zendikar Rising Standard until the bannings of Lucky Clover and Escape to the Wilds, but the updated build picking up Obosh, the Preypiercer has combined the previous shell with some ramp elements to combo Terror of the Peaks with Genesis Ultimatum and Beanstalk Giants. Gruul Adventures and Mono-Green Food were right behind Temur Adventures in numbers, with both decks tallying 52 pilots.

While Gruul Adventures failed to reach the Top 12, three players made the elimination rounds with Mono-Green Food, including Will Pulliam in his third straight SCG Tour Online $5K Kaldheim Championship Qualifier Top-12 finish.

Ramboa, the runner-up, was the highest-placing player on Dimir Control (Yorion), the fourth most-played deck.

Dimir Rogues (some with or without Lurrus of the Dream-Den) clocked in next, followed by Esper Doom Foretold (Yorion), and Mono-Red Aggro. Check out the metagame breakdown of decks with more than three copies below:
