Liesa Returns In Innistrad: Midnight Hunt As Liesa, Forgotten Archangel

Take a look at the latest version of Liesa arriving in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt.

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC), check out a new version of a loved legend coming back in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt — Liesa, Forgotten Archangel!

Liesa was last seen in Commander Legends with Liesa, Shroud of Dusk as her first official card. Now she returns as Liesa, Forgotten Archangel.

Five mana gets you a 4/5 flying Angel with lifelink and two relevant abilities. Let’s dive in.

Whenever another nontoken creature you control dies, return that card to its owner’s hand at the beginning of the next end step.

If a creature an opponent controls would die, exile it instead.

First up, whenever one of your creatures dies you get it back at at the beginning of the next end step. While Liesa might be a forgotten archangel, the rest of your creatures will never be forgotten with her on the battlefield. The second ability is just a cherry on top, making sure that your opponents aren’t getting any value from their creatures dying.

What do you think of Liesa, Forgotten Archangel? Can she be a major player in Standard and Commander?
