Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Ali Aintrazi, set your eyes upon a new creature-land from Kaldheim — Faceless Haven!
A new snow creature-land that taps for colorless that enters the battlefield untapped is a great start, but its hints of influence from Mutavault push it over the top.
While the activation cost is much harder to pay for than Mutavault, Faceless Haven attacks for significantly more and has vigilance while having the same tribal synergies as its predecessor. Faceless Haven can get into the red zone and later be used to pay for spells – even other snow spells – thanks to its super type.
Constructed mono-color decks with plenty of snow-covered basics will easily be able to make use of this land as a creature and help reward snow synergies that benefit from having more snow permanents on the battlefield.
What do you think of Faceless Haven? Is the restrictive activation cost too steep a price to pay or just right?
Kaldheim is currently scheduled to release on February 5. You can check out our official Kaldheim Preview Gallery here.
