Black Gets Answer To Planeswalkers In Graf Reaver In Innistrad: Crimson Vow

Black gets a powerful creature that doubles as planeswalker removal in Innistrad: Crimson Vow!

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Corey Baumeister, take a look at this Zombie Warrior from Innistrad: Crimson Vow — Graf Reaver!

Exploit

When Graf Reaver exploits a creature, destroy target planeswalker.

At the beginning of your upkeep, Graf Reaver deals 1 damage to you.

A two-mana 3/3, Graf Reaver has above average stats for a two-drop and also comes equipped with the new exploit mechanic, which allows you to sacrifice a creature in order to activate an ability. In this case, exploiting a creature allows you to destroy a planeswalker, which is sure to make this card popular in black-based decks. The “drawback” for this card, is that it deals you a point of damage during each of your upkeeps, but aggressive decks rarely care about their own life total, and can likely find a way to turn this drawback into an advantage.

So what do you think of Graf Reaver? Is this card poised to be a multi-format all-star? Let us know what you think in the comments.
