Weekly MTG Previews Legate Lanius, Three Dog, Nick Valentine, And More From Fallout Commander Decks

Learn more about some of the iconic characters from Fallout coming to Magic: The Gathering

Weekly MTG kicked off the Magic: The Gathering Fallout preview season by showing off cards from all four Commander Decks.

Senior Game Designers Chris Mooney and Annie Sardelis joined Blake Rasmussen to go over each deck, highlight new Booster Fun treatments, and unveil iconic characters like Three Dog, Nick Valentine, and Legate Lanius.

Scrappy Survivors

The previews begin with the Scrappy Survivors deck, which will be revealed throughout the day on social media.

The Naya deck is an aura and equipment based deck utilizing Junk tokens. Check out some of the new cards featuring Commander Sofia Daguerre and Three Dog, Galaxy News DJ.

Some of the reprints in Scrappy Survivors include Puresteel Paladin, Heroic Intervention, and usual Commander suspects like Arcane Signet and Sol Ring.

Science!

The Science! deck will be fully revealed on Friday, but we get a glimpse of some of the cards today.

The Jeskai deck is all about artifacts and assembling awesome creations like Liberty Prime, Recharged.

Some of the reprints in the deck include Open the Vaults, Mechanized Production, and Solemn Simulacrum.

Mutant Menace

The Mutant Menace deck will be shown off on Thursday.

Only a couple of cards from the Sultai deck were unveiled, Nuclear Fallout and a reprint of Guardian Project.

Hail, Caesar

Lastly, Hail, Caesar will be previewed in full tomorrow.

The Mardu deck uses a go-wide strategy that takes advantage of the squad mechanic. Check out Powder Ganger and Legate Lanius, Caesar’s Ace.

The deck also has a reprint of Ruinous Ultimatum.

Collector Boosters

Collector Boosters return with this Universes Beyond project, adding more Booster Fun treatments to the cards coming in the Fallout set.

The Collector Boosters don’t introduce any new cards, simply reprints with Fallout treatments and special versions of cards found in the Commander Decks. There will be 26 Showcase Pip-Boy cards, including this reprint of Tarmogoyf as Scrounging Deathclaw.

More Collector Booster exclusives include the nine Borderless Vault Boy cards, including this reprint of Ravages of War.

Other Borderless Vault Boy treatments can be seen in the Arcane Signet and Sol Ring from above and the already previewed Wasteland and Crucible of Worlds.

An already leaked War Room promo can be acquired at local game stores for the Fallout release event on March 8.

There will also be three Fallout Secret Lair drops to cap off the crossover product. The Secret Lair drops will be announced soon.
