Another Card Type Plus New Gameplay Details Revealed For Disney’s Lorcana TCG

New card type, new gameplay details! It’s all coming together

It’s only been two days since Lorcana’s item card type was revealed, but today we get another new one — Action. Check out Healing Glow!

As we mentioned previously, action is a brand-new card type, so we don’t know exactly how it will work, but based on some context clues, it’s likely a form of spell that can be cast at any time, akin to instants from Magic: The Gathering.

Another point of interest, Healing Glow indirectly revealed a new piece of Lorcana’s gameplay puzzle. “Damage” is a keyword that up until now hasn’t been included on any cards. Cards being able to deal damage and Healing Glow’s ability to remove two damage from a chosen character leads us to infer that Lorcana’s combat system will be based around stacking damage – meaning whenever a character takes damage, if it doesn’t out right destroy the character, that amount of damage will stay from turn to turn. An example of this would be if Mickey Mouse (5/5) was dealt two damage, it’s health would drop to three, and remain at three until either dealt more damage or healed (IE, damage removed by a card like Healing Glow).

So what do you think of Healing Glow? Give us your best guesses as to how action cards will be played in the comments on Facebook and Twitter.

Lorcana’s The First Chapter is scheduled to release this August.
