Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of the Magic Show. In this week’s episode, we travel to Grand Prix: Philadelphia in the great state of Pennsylvania. Over eleven hours of travel to and from, technical issues galore, a huge glut of Magic stars to talk to, and the result is this week’s Magic Show. BONUS: Watch the edited finals, with pretty pictures of the cards and everything!

Post-Philly Thoughts
Well, I’ll be damned if I drive to Philly again. A flight for me from now on, thanks. The trip turned out much longer than expected, ending with me pulling into my driveway around 6am Monday morning and expected at work two hours later. So much for rest, eh?
But regardless of the effort required, I had a great time and was in my element all weekend. Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to speak to me. Not a single pro declined to speak to me, and that was much appreciated.
I battled mightily with the Gods Of Technology on this one, with my audio being the most frustrating thing of the weekend. After much investigation I believe a converter of some sort went out, and as a result, I lost the complete interviews of Jacob Van Lunen and Guillaume Cardin (so sorry guys!). Also big props to the infinite patience of Tom LaPille, who is not only a great guy and writer, but had to record his entire deck tech twice. And even then I had to cut out a whole segment due to the audio issues!
Frustration teaches valuable lessons, lessons I’ll be sure to put in place by the time Pro Tour: Hollywood comes around.
Oh, I didn’t tell you I’m going? Well, it’s confirmed, and we’ll talk more about it next week!
Thanks for watching! Until next time, this is Evan Erwin, traveling to the Grand Prix so you don’t have to.
