Welcome back to the Grand Prix Washington DC countdown blog! Yesterday, I introduced you to the wonderful cosplayers who will be joining us at Grand Prix Washington DC this weekend. So if you’re looking to get a photo with one of Magic’s characters come to life, our nation’s capital is the place to be on September 1 – 3.
Now that you know all of the reasons to attend Grand Prix Washington DC, the only thing left to do is figure out how to get there and where to lay your head at night. So let’s talk travel and lodging today, shall we?
Airports
If you’re flying to Grand Prix Washington DC, you’ve got two airports to choose from – Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Note that IAD is closer to the Grand Prix Washington DC venue than DCA is (eleven minutes vs. 37 minutes), so if being in close proximity to an airport is important to you, IAD is the way to go. As someone who has flown through both airports, I find them both fairly simple to navigate, so complexity shouldn’t be a concern.
