Countdown To Grand Prix Washington DC: 4 Days Out - Artists Alley!

Welcome back to the Grand Prix Washington DC countdown blog!
On Friday, I introduced you to our Guest of Honor for Grand Prix Washington DC, Rob Alexander. Rob is going to be very busy signing copies of Underground Sea, Temple Garden, and all of his other fantastic artwork all weekend long in our nation’s capital, but don’t forget the awesome playmats he’ll be bringing along as well!

Noah Bradley

Noah Bradley debuted in Magic 2013, quickly becoming a fan favorite for his land and spell illustrations. His notable competitive and casual cards include Anger of the Gods, the five enemy-color shockland Zendikar Expeditions (Breeding Pool, Godless Shrine, Overgrown Tomb, Sacred Foundry, and Steam Vents), Dictate of Karametra, and Port Town.

Christopher Moeller

With well over 200 Magic illustrations to his credit, Christopher Moeller is one of the game’s most prolific artists. Among his most famous works are Chain Lightning (Premium Deck Series: Fire and Lightning), Lightning Bolt (Magic 2010), Meddling Mage(Planeshift), Mindbreak Trap, Reclamation Sage, Saffi Eriksdotter, Sower of Temptation, Umezawa’s Jitte, Vines of Vastwood, and Zealous Persecution.

Mark Poole

From Limited Edition Alpha to Amonkhet, Mark Poole’s work appears across Magic’s entire history. His illustrations appear on high-powered classics Ancestral Recall and Balance (as well as their later “fixed” versions, Modern cards Ancestral Vision and Restore Balance). Other notable cards include the original Birds of Paradise, Library of Alexandria, and Stony Silence (Modern Masters 2017).

Douglas Shuler

Douglas Shuler, a veteran illustrator with more than two decades of experience, is one of the original 25 illustrators for Magic, a contributor to Limited Edition Alpha and many later sets. His iconic cards include Candelabra of Tawnos, Contract from Below, Demonic Tutor, Hypnotic Specter, Icy Manipulator, Prodigal Sorcerer, and Serra Angel.

Mark Tedin

One of the original 25 artists of Magic, Mark Tedin occupies an unshakable place in the game’s history. His iconic cards of Limited Edition Alpha include Chaos Orb, Lord of the Pit, Sol Ring, and Timetwister. Competitive Modern and Legacy players will know his work on Emrakul, the Aeons Torn; Lava Spike; and the original Lorwyn printing of Ponder.

Drew Tucker

Anthony S. Waters

Victor Adame Minguez

Victor Adame Minguez has emerged as one of Mexico’s top fantasy artists, earning immediate recognition with his debut Magic illustration, Ghirapur Gearcrafter in Magic Origins. An avid Magic player, he is often found playing in side events when he’s not in his artist’s booth. His recent notable cards include Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast; Maelstrom Wanderer (Eternal Masters); and Atraxa, Praetors’ Voice.

Ken Meyer Jr.

Titus Lunter

Dutch concept artist Titus Lunter has been playing Magic since 2010 and made his Magic illustration debut in Khans of Tarkir. As primarily a landscape painter, he focuses on architecture and lands. His most famous cards include Amonkhet Invocations Wrath of God and Pact of Negation, Dynavolt Tower, Burgeoning (Conspiracy: Take the Crown), and some Zendikar Expedition Masterpieces.

Zack Stella

Longtime player Zack Stella received his first Magic art commission for Modern Masters 2013 and has created more than 60 illustrations for the game.
