Magic wouldn’t be Magic without its artists! Today, Cedric Phillips introduces the guests who’ll appear at Grand Prix Orlando’s Artists Alley, including Noah Bradley, Pete Venters, Mark Poole, and six more!

Grand Prix Orlando March 24-26!

Welcome back to the Grand Prix Orlando countdown blog! On Friday, I introduced you to our Guest of Honor for Grand Prix Orlando, Volkan Baga. Volkan is going to be very busy signing copies of Snapcaster Mage, Inquisition of Kozilek, and all of his other fantastic artwork all weekend long in The City Beautiful, so make sure you get in line early!

As for our other amazing artists who will be attending Grand Prix Orlando? Let’s meet them right now!

Noah Bradley

Noah Bradley debuted in the Magic 2013 Core Set, quickly becoming a fan favorite for his land and spell illustrations. His notable competitive and casual cards include Anger of the Gods, the five enemy-color shockland Zendikar Expeditions (Breeding Pool, Godless Shrine, Overgrown Tomb, Sacred Foundry, and Steam Vents), Dictate of Karametra, and Port Town.

In addition to appearing as one of Grand Prix Orlando’s special guests, Noah Bradley will also be competing in the Main Event!

Pete Venters

Pete Venters is one of the most prolific Magic artists with more than 250 cards’ worth of old-school cool. Among his most iconic cards are Crosis, the Purger; Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker; Massacre; Survival of the Fittest; Tendrils of Agony; and Zur the Enchanter!

Eric Deschamps

Illustrator and concept artist Eric Deschamps started in Magic with Goblin S.W.A.T. Team in Unhinged, bringing serious skill to a humorous set. Since then he’s illustrated prominent Constructed cards and Commander favorites, including Celestial Colonnade; Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh; Dack Fayden; Elspeth, Sun’s Champion; Gideon, Ally of Zendikar; Nahiri, the Lithomancer; Pia and Kiran Nalaar; Ral Zarek; Sorin, Grim Nemesis; and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage.

Mark Poole

One of the 25 artists who contributed to the very first Magic set, Mark Poole’s illustrations for the game include high-powered classics Ancestral Recall and Balance (as well as their later “fixed” versions, Modern cards Ancestral Vision and Restore Balance). Other notable cards include Birds of Paradise, Library of Alexandria and the original printings of Urza’s Tower, plus a new set of five basic lands printed in Commander 2016.

Victor Adame Minguez

Victor Adame Minguez has emerged as one of Mexico’s top fantasy artists, earning immediate recognition with his debut Magic illustration, Ghirapur Gearcrafter in Magic Origins. An avid Magic player, he is often found playing in side events when he’s not in his artist’s booth. His recent notable cards include Daretti, Ingenious Iconoclast; Maelstrom Wanderer (Eternal Masters); and Momir Vig, Simic Visionary (From the Vault: Lore).

John Stanko

Artist and university professor John Stanko has many years of practical experience and an impressive portfolio to back up his academic credentials. Since his debut in the original Innistrad set, he has created illustrations for cards popular in a variety of formats, including Town Gossipmonger, Viscera Seer, Containment Priest, and Stranglehold.

Jason A. Engle

Jason A. Engle is an illustration veteran with almost twenty years of professional experience. His creations have appeared on a number of notable Commander cards, including Scroll Rack, Avatar of Slaughter, Curse of Chaos, and Siege Behemoth. Constructed fans will know him by his art for Nevermore, Skirsdag High Priest, Herald of the Pantheon, Bygone Bishop, and Lightning Axe.
