The headliner from this batch of cards in the return of Ponder for the first time in a non-modern border printing. Originally in Lorwyn, then Magic 2010 and Magic 2012, Ponder has been one of the few cards in Legacy to compete with Brainstorm in ubiquity. Now players can add four timeshifted Ponders to go with their classic Brainstorms.
LSV also previewed three morph creatures that all showed up in the constructed deck known as Pickles at the time. Brine Elemental tapped your opponent’s permanents then Vesuvan Shapeshifter would copy Brine Elemental every turn to keep them locked out of the game. Throw in Fathom Seer as a way to refuel and you ended up with a shell game of morphs that very few opponents could solve.
All of them are back and ready to combine for the combo in Limited along with plenty of protection in the form of many novel counterspells from Time Spiral block.
