On March 8, 2024, Magic: The Gathering will release its Universes Beyond Commander collaboration with Fallout.
Developed by Black Isle Studios, the first Fallout video game released on PC in 1997 and introduced gamers to a dark and immersive post-apocalyptic world. One of the biggest draws to the Fallout franchise is the incredible world building that combines the post-war culture of the United States during the 1950’s with retro-futuristic aesthetics.
A top-down, role playing game (RPG) by nature, players were given freedom to build their own character and make choices for them through unique dialogue options. Encounters with non-player characters, irradiated creatures, wastelanders, and numerous factions added to the game’s gritty charm. Through these charms, the core of the Magic crossover set is formed.
