Magic: The Gathering and Marvel fans will get a first look at an upcoming collaboration next week at New York Comic Con 2026.
Marvel announced the schedule for panels and events for NYCC, which runs from Thursday, October 8 to Sunday, October 11, and Friday appears to have a Magic: The Gathering panel. The panel info doesn’t reveal much other than something magical is coming to NYCC and that it appears to be Universes Beyond related. Could it be the reveal of next year’s Marvel expansion or a Secret Lair drop? Looks like we will find out at 7:45 on Friday in Room 406.3.
In addition to the panel, a celebration of Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes will also take place, offering events with Welcome Decks and the Beginner Box.
Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek will also be on display at NYCC at booth #1301. Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Welcome Decks will be available and fans can pick up a Borg Queen, Perfection Manifest promo card while supplies last.
While Magic revealed the full slate of in-universe sets for 2027 earlier this year, the three Universes Beyond sets are still a mystery.
Speaking of 2027’s in-universe sets, the First Look Preview Panel for Nauctis: The Sunken Realm will take place at MagicCon: Atlanta next month. Mark Rosewater and Roy Graham will lead the panel which looks to be split between Nauctis previews and what sounds like potential news on the 2027 expansions. The panel description only teases that “if you love Magic’s multiverse, you’ll want to be here to be the first in the world to see what this panel previews.”
For those that will be at MagicCon: Atlanta, The Preview Panel will take place at 1:00 PM on November 13 on the Mana Stage.
