Two Iconic Moments From Doctor Who Showcased In MTG Previews

See two major scenes from Doctor Who history on Magic: The Gathering cards

Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC), check out two cards coming in the Timey-Wimey Commander deck from the Universes Beyond release of Magic: The Gathering – Doctor Who — Everything Comes to Dust and Crack in Time!

Everything Comes to Dust is a flashy mass removal spell with convoke, depicting Rose Tyler going Bad Wolf style on some Daleks as time pulses through her from the Tardis core. The flavor text captures her words as she decimates the Daleks in at attempt to save The Doctor. The expensive white sorcery exiles all creatures (except those that share a creature type with a creature that convoked to cast it), artifacts, and enchantments, bringing the iconic moment from “The Parting of the Ways” from Series 1 to MTG.

Crack in Time, a powerful white enchantment with Vanishing 3, depicts Rory Williams being absorbed into a crack in time after being killed by Restac in the episode “Cold Blood” from Series 5. Crack in Time functions as a temporary way to remove opposing creatures, with it being able to exile two the turn it is played, scaling up to four the final turn it is on the battlefield.

The Timey-Wimey Commander deck focuses on Doctors 9, 10, and 11. It’s all about time counters, suspend counters, and time travel.

Magic: The Gathering – Doctor Who releases on October 13.
