Everything you need to know about Riftbound’s 2026 set releases

Riftbound, the League of Legends trading card game from Riot Games, exploded onto the tabletop gaming scene late in 2025 with the release of its inaugural set, Origins.

This year, Riot plans to have Riftbound in full swing with four major set releases:

  • February 13, 2026: Spiritforged
  • May 8, 2026: Unleashed
  • July 31st, 2026: Vendetta
  • October 23, 2026: Radiance

Vendetta – July 31, 2026

Important Dates:

  • Preview season: July 6-17
  • Pre-Rift: July 24-30
  • Wide Release: July 31

Key Features:

  • 160+ new cards
    • 50+ Showcase cards
  • 9 new Champion Legends
    • Confirmed Champions: Akali, Zen, Shed
  • New mechanics, Legends, domain combinations

Slated for release July 31, 2026, Vendetta will be Riftbound’s fourth expansion and will likely feature Ambessa, Mel, and Akali as the set’s new champions. Additionally, Riot has conformed that Vendetta will be the first set with a single unified release date for China and the United States.

Radiance – October 23, 2026

Important Dates:

  • Preview season: September 28 – October 9
  • Pre-Rift: October 16-22
  • Wide Release: October 23

Key Features:

  • 180 new cards
    • 60 Showcase cards
  • 9 new Champion Legends
    • Confirmed Champions: Ekko, Seraphine, Evelynn

Past Sets

Spiritforged – February 13, 2026

Spiritforged, Riftbound’s sophomore set, made its official debut on December 12, 2025 in China, and made its way State-side on February 13. Despite being a smaller set compared to Origins, Spiritforged still introduced over 200 new cards to the game, plus 12 new Champions, new mechanics, and more.

Unleashed – May 8, 2026

Unleashed was the second Riftbound release in 2026 and third expansion overall. The set’s key art showcases popular characters like Vi, LeBlanc, Master Yi, and Rengar.
