WotC Implements Plan For Game Store Relief

WotC has announced a new plan to help support game stores through these difficult times.

In an effort to support game stores through the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced a new relief plan.

WotC states they plan to reprint the popular Mystery Booster set, with all boosters being allocated to WPN member stores free of charge, as well as all profits from those boosters going directly to those stores.

Additionally, with game stores being encouraged to host tournaments remotely via MTG Arena, WotC will also now allow organizers to charge entry fees (up to $10) for each event through June 1.

To spread word of their relief efforts, Magic Senior Designer, Gavin Verhey, took to Twitter – adding confirmation for the reprints and even discussed a few fun Easter Eggs about the set’s foil sheets.
