Wizards of the Coast (WotC) is celebrating Black History Month with the launch of a new product, Secret Lair: Black Is Magic.
The latest Secret Lair drop supports Black Girls CODE, an organization that empowers girls of color in game design and coding. The product was designed by Sydney Adams and each card will be illustrated by by a black artist. Check out the first two cards revealed today: Ponder and Shalai, Voice of Plenty.
Ponder is illustrated by Ejiwa ‘Edge’ Ebenebe and Shalai is illustrated by Ernanda Souza. Five more borderless alternate-art cards that will be shown off throughout the month on February 9 and 16. Other artists included will be Hillary Wilson, Dani Pendergast, KNIIO, Thomas Zenteno, and Julio Reyna.
Secret Lair: Black Is Magic will be available for preorder from Feb. 22- March 31. Foil copies will sell for $49.99 and non-foil editions will sell for $39.99.
