In an ongoing effort to give Magic players more ways to compete from home, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced a new series of qualifier events for Magic Online.
These online events will “run alongside existing Magic Online Qualifiers and will continue to invite players to Players Tour Series 2 events.” Each Super Qualifier provides greater prize support, including invites to the Players Tour Series 2 for both first and second place.
Prizes
- 1st – 2nd: Qualification for Players Tour Series 2 events, 900 Play Points, 200 Treasure Chests, and 1 premium foil set of the most recent Standard-legal set.
- 3rd – 4th: 750 Play Points, 150 Treasure Chests, and 1 premium foil set of the most recent Standard-legal set.
- 5th – 8th: 600 Play Points, 100 Treasure Chests, and 1 non-foil set of the most recent Standard-legal set.
- 9th – 16th: 400 Play Points and 50 Treasure Chests.
- 17th – 32nd: 400 Play Points and 25 Treasure Chests.
- 33rd – 64th: 200 Play Points and 10 Treasure Chests.
Structure
The formats for each Super Qualifier will change on a week-to-week basis and will be available on the Magic Online events schedule. The first week’s schedule can be found below.

Each Super Qualifier requires a minimum of 129, and caps out at 672 players. The number of rounds will be based on attendance.
