For just two mana, Fateful Absence can deal with just about any creature or planeswalker if you’re willing to give their controller a Clue. It should also be noted that you can target your own creatures and planeswalkers, in the off chance that you need a new card more than a permanent. Most comparable to Declaration in Stone from Shadows Over Innistrad, it’s likely that Fateful Absence will become a premium removal spell for white-based decks in Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Standard, and seems like a solid sideboard inclusion in formats beyond.
