Courtesy of Wizards of the Coast (WotC) and Magic Online, check out a new artifact from Modern Horizons 2 that will hose free and colorless spells — Void Mirror!
For just two mana, players now have the option to shut down decks like Eldrazi Tron and Mono-Green Tron by turning the tables and locking them out of casting spells. While players can still use colored mana from any source to cast their colorless spells, decks that can’t produce colored mana are going to have problems with Void Mirror.
On top of the disruption for base-colorless decks, Void Mirror also prevents players from resolving free spells like Force of Will, Daze, the Pacts from Future Sight, and spells from cascade effects.
What do you think of Void Mirror? Is it being overrated or knock out colorless decks from the metagame? Let us know in the comments!
