As part of an ongoing series of weekly changes, Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has announced the updates and changes for week 11 of Zendikar Rising on Magic Online.

Commander Legends

Commander Legends is now live on Magic Online.

Last Day for Kyle O’Neill’s Core Set Cube

This unique Cube features “features iconic cards from every core set on Magic Online, from Seventh Edition to Core Set 2021 (including Magic Origins).” View the full card list.

Chaos Draft: Masters Sets

As the title implies, this event is Chaos Draft format and features only the Masters sets listed below. This event is scheduled to run December 2 – 9.

Showcase Challenge Weekend

This weekend, players will be able to redeem 40 Qualifier Points (QPs) to enter the Magic Online Champions Showcase (MOCS). The MOCS are “linked events designed to highlight the best players on Magic Online each season, culminating in the Champions Showcase and its prize pool of $70,000 and a Players Tour Finals invitation.”

2021 MOCS Season 1

The new 2021 Magic Online Champions Showcase season begins December 9. Players will have until that morning to use their Qualifier Points from Season 3 before they expire.

Preliminary Event Changes

The structure for Preliminary Events will be changing with the start of the 2021 MOCS Season 1 on December 9.

  • Number of rounds reduced from 5 to 4
  • Minimum players reduced from 16 to 12
  • Prize changes
    • 4 Wins – 600 Play Points, 40 QP
    • 3 Wins – 300 Play Points, 20 QP
    • 2 Wins – 150 Play Points, 10 QP
      • Treasure Chests will be awarded in Constructed
        • 4 Wins – 5 Treasure Chests
        • 3 Wins – 3 Treasure Chests
        • 2 Wins – 1 Treasure Chest

Format Challenges

Format Challenges are scheduled to run every weekend for the foreseeable future and are the “first step to qualifying for Premier Play.” The schedule for upcoming Format Challenges can be found below:
