Earlier this week, fan-favorite Magic: The Gathering Artist Seb, McKinnon, announced the launch of his third Kickstarter initiative – Limited Edition Magic Kickstarter #3.
McKinnon’s first two Kickstarters were extremely successful, raising $298,971 USD from 3,450 backers and $726,417 USD from 7,246 backers, and making nearly thirty of his most popular Magic artworks available as either prints or playmats.
The Limited Edition Magic Kickstarter #3 features four pieces – Soulherder, Answered Prayers, Throne of Eldraine, and Order of Midnight. The Kickstarter began accepting backers on Tuesday, February 18, and reportedly raised over $75,000 in the first hour.
Special Collaboration
Announced just today, Artist Rebecca Guay will be joining McKinnon in an exclusive collaboration for his Kickstarter. Guay and McKinnon will be collaborating on a limited edition playmat once the Kickstarter reaches the $700,000 milestone.
In addition to creating stunning artwork for Magic: The Gathering, McKinnon also creates music and film. His feature length film, Kin Fables: The Stolen Child, has nearly reached full funding, with all proceeds from the Limited Edition Magic Kickstarter #3 going toward the project as well.
