Magic: The Gathering Head Designer, Mark Rosewater, has shared a series of Strixhaven: School of Mages teasers and confirmed that Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa’s World Championship card will make its appearance in the set.
Confirmed today via his Blogatog, Rosewater states that Strixhaven will include “a card featuring Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa’s likeness (for winning the World Championship).” While we have no details beyond the confirmation, it’s safe to say we’re all sufficiently excited to finally see PVDDR immortalized on a card.
Beyond PVDDR’s card, Rosewater also teased some very interesting inclusions for Strixhaven, including “a futureshifted card (appearing for the first time in a premier set other than Future Sight)” and the introduction of a new evergreen key word.
For fans of tribal synergies, Rosewater also shared a list of creature types that will appear in the set.
