After first being confirmed over a year ago, Director Joe Russo has finally provided updates on the Magic: The Gathering animated series.
In an interview with Collider, Russo states that the show is currently in the writing or “scripting stage” and is still being actively updated despite delays stemming from the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Russo, while optimistic about the project, reminded fans that “animation has a much longer prep period than live-action projects” and “we probably won’t see the series anytime soon.”
