With GenCon Online approaching soon with a bunch of digital Magic offerings, Gavin Verhey used today’s episode of Good Morning Magic to suggest three Legacy decks for players looking to dabble in the format.

While Legacy can be a complicated format, Verhey gives a quick run down of three decks newer Legacy players can try out at GenCon Online. Though these decks still require plenty of reps and experience to play optimally, the game plan for the decks are pretty clear.

Golgari Depths wants to assemble Dark Depths and Thespian Stage or Dark Depths and Vampire Hexmage quickly and beat your opponent with a hard-to-answer 20/20. Discard, Not of This World, and Pithing Needle allow you to protect your combo while Crop Rotation, Once Upon a Time, and Elvish Reclaimer let you find the combo quickly.

Death and Taxes looks to apply pressure with early creatures while disrupting the opponent with “taxing” effects like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Phyrexian Revoker, Wasteland, and Rishadan Port. The deck looks under-powered at first glance, but it contains tools to beat almost any matchup.

Dimir Ninjas plays like a typical tempo deck, chipping in for early damage while using discard and counterspells like Daze and Force of Wil to keep your opponent off balance.
